The Syracuse guns (disclaimer: my opinion) were made better & had nicer engraving than the Pre-1913's which were, in turn, better than the post-1913 grades. They don't come along every day, but they are out there - just keep your eyes peeled. When you find one, post the particulars for it here, as there are a few of us trying to keep records for them since none of the original records survived. Things to take note: grade, gauge, serial #, barrel length, X's (if any) on bottom of barrels, and any other feature that may seem strange. Be careful - Syracuse guns are ADDICTIVE!
