Drew, As you can see, this is a FW Field receiver. I did it following Oscar Gaddy's instructions found in his DGJ articles. The metal was annealed, per his instructions, polished a bit higher-600 grit, and "cooked" in a 50-50 mix of bone/wood charcoal, again as Oscar/ Russ Ruppel noted to me in a private e-mail. I did it this Spring(2006). Now I need help posting like you do. Have lots more "Sweet Elsie" and HORRORS!!! Parker pixs of restorations/upgrades. THIS IS NOT AN ADVERTISEMENT!!!
