Dr. Bill, I think it is a good idea to have a place where anybody can go to and archive information and pictures if need be. For the "newbie" to the site, this can be an enjoyable place to get information. The problem I see with "perfect guns", ie; case colors in particular, is who is able to tell the difference between a re-finish gun and an original, probably not many including myself. It is always nice to see what they looked like when they left the factory, but 50-150 yrs. takes it's toll on finishes. As we know the nicer a finish looks, the more it will definitely bring in price, but now many dealers, etc, will list that it is refinished. I hate to be pessimistic, but as most of us know if it is to good to be true, then it usually is.
