    Scotty, your question is yes they did provide shotguns to the U.S. Army Air Force during WWll. They were through the Rochester Ordinance District in Rochester, N.Y. The serial numbers range from 197,321-202813, so the gun you are looking at falls in that range. There were 1,477 Field Grades, 20 Ideal Grades, and 9 Wild Fowl Grades., for a total of 1506.
    A barrel mark on guns of this period appears to be either USA or USAF.
