I just watched a you-tube video last night entitled L.C. Smith 8ga restoration. The "restorer" doesn't seem to know much about LC Smiths since he referred to a grade 2 as the pre 1913 version of a field grade.
Also he stated that the name changes came about in 1930. You can watch in disbelief as he "restores" the chain damascus bbls by applying perma blue. At least he didn't hot blue them.
