Chambersburg Hospital. He was born March 15, 1942, in Somerville, MA, the son of
Hazel and Arthur Trefry.
After growing up in Medford, MA, he attended Gordon College where he received a
degree in psychology before pursuing his masters degree at Dallas Theological Seminary.
After his graduation from Dallas, he spent the next 40 years answering the Lord's call as a
pastor and even after he "retired," he stayed active in the Church teaching Sunday school
and leading home Bible studies.
Bob enjoyed playing several sports and had many hobbies including reading, fishing,
hunting, and historic firearms, but his greatest interest was in people. He loved people and
actively kept in touch with friends from many of the different communities in which he
ministered over the years. His understanding of people and down-to-earth nature helped
make him a friend to almost anyone who spent time with him.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sylvia Trefry, four daughters, seventeen grandchildren, and
eight great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 15 at Genesis Church in York, PA, at
4:00 pm.
