Will I have serial numbers back to 58024 that I believe are from 1899, 57992 is the last one I have from 1898. These had what I call a 6 pin lock plate (most of the pins were screw posts).
There are no records of any hammer guns made in the 60000 serial number range. (Serial numbers in the 60000 later were for 16 gauge hammerless guns) Hammer guns started again at 70000.
