David: That "thicker" NC Ordinance buttplate fits this hammergun like it was made for it. Like you, when I fist saw it I assumed that it would be too small (& it would be on a hammerless gun) but the screw holes line up perfectly and it "fits" surprisingly well. It also happens to fit me better now too.

A true "gunsmith" could make it look perhaps a little better(?) and the screws do need a some love now (even with a "proper" set of drivers, they got beat-up a bit during extraction). Maybe after Whittington (late April now) I'll find a local guy to help me?
