Zachary, here are 4 hammer guns that I've redone over the years. The top one is a Baker Pat'd from c.1881 to the bottom, a Gladiator Ideal from 1918. The Gladiator and the gun above it were done 2 years ago. All were done by the same craftsman. As he explained to me and as you can see the colors will vary due to the consistency of the metal. I've never had one turn out as blue as the Gladiator.
