I enjoyed a fine day at the Downton Day event at Green River Sporting Club at Roberts. Ill on Saturday. June 1 with other members of the Society Of American Side by Sides. A gunsmith friend had some fine guns from his collection there to sell including a fine English gun, A Charles Hellis 12ga double with ejectors. I traded the Fulton gun and some money for it because I could not walk away from a fine gun with my needed fifteen inch length of pull that fit like a dream. Of course this wa safter I had shot the event with my LC Smith 16ga and was even recognized by the instructor and shoot coach for my shooting on the driven targets. This was my first time at one of these events and it will definitely not be my last.
