I inherited an LCSmith SxS 12g shotgun. The 112841 s/n indicates it was manufactured early in 1901 by Hunter Arms. I have two questions I have been unable to answer.
What does "WR" stamp mean on the bottom flats of each of the barrels?
On the trigger mechanism side panels, there is a flowery engraving around the large block letters "Mark's Special" Was this a factory option, or what might I look for that was special added to the factory gun?
Two pictures attached.
