I had sent a gun to Buck Hamlin in late August for him to re-brown damascus barrels and do some touchup bluing on the receiver. He told me at the time that he wouldn't get to that job until late December. I saw of his passing here and thought I would wait a respectful time before I contacted Brenda about the gun's return. I was surprised to receive a call from Brenda last Saturday evening to tell me that she and Buck had worked out a plan in his last days for her to return the guns he had in his queu and that she had already shipped my gun back to me! I had gotten Buck's name from this forum in response to my question about who I might turn to to have this work done. I am coming back to the collective wisdom of members of this group to again provide me with a recommendation(s) for someone to re-brown the damascus barrels and touch-up bluing on the receiver. The gun is a LC Smith Grade 2, born in 1896 and in excellent mechanical condition. Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.
