Hopefully I've uploaded the pictures correctly, the screw going through the lockplate seems overtight as it is slightly proud on the right side of the gun and the head of the screw is coutnersunk. I backed it off a half turn and it is now flush for my next test. I'm not sure I understand the top screw positioning but I've added a picture of it as well. I did hang onto the gun as I really like it and figure I can probably get it fixed one way or another. It is does not have ejectors but, even though they are desirable by most standards, I like that I don't have to catch the shells. In all conditions I've tested the gun in it works fine with snap caps, it is only under live fire I have issues. I did wonder if it is possibly the locks or firing pins rather than the trigger. Thanks for your help and sorry I missed this reply for so long, I had company and hadn't looked.
