Dr. Hause offers excellent advice. I personally prefer original chamber length, especially if the barrels are Damascus. Re-reaming in a 100+ year old set of barrels seems sacriligious to me! I am a little superstitious about the possibility of the reamer tearing the laminations, but I have no evidence that this might happen.
