Thanks, Jim. I was thinking that would be the case. The reason I was interested in knowing this info about this gun is that I bought a Grade 2 online about 2 months ago that I discovered had damascus barrels after I received it and inspected it. Seller didn't know the grade and didn't describe the grade and didn't know the barrels were damascus. I could see the large "2" stamp on the barrel flats from seller's pictures and the price and condition was right so I bought it. The barrels had been deeply blued and it was not at all obvious what they were. Seller swore he didn't know either...he'd bought it at a farm action in 1972 and had never fired it. I am having the bluing removed now and I hope I can restore the barrels to look close to their original finish.
