Hunter Arms Fulton Special Cocking Hook Issue

Hello all, I have a 1926 Hunter Arms Fulton Special that I am having an issue with. When the gun is broken open the cocking hook becomes unhooked from the cocking plate. The gun has to be disassembled and then re-assembled so that it will close. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Thank you for your time.
