Not true Norman, the serial numbers on major components always matched the serial number on the frame; even the small internal parts were serial numbered to the gun so that they were returned to the gun for which they were fitted as the gun was disassembled and reassembled during the production process. Serial numbers were even checked on low grade guns; and if a serial number was mis-stamped, it was corrected with an over stamp. But a Specialty is an upper grade gun and the gun works would never use odd numbered parts or fit parts or components with a serial number not matching the number on the frame.
