Starting about thirty years ago it developed a problem where the right barrel will hang fire sporadically. As a result it was pretty much retired, but over the years since it's been inspected and cleaned by three different gunsmiths with no resolution to the problem.
Two years ago decided to give it another try. Went out and shot three rounds of skeet with no issue. The next week on a pheasant hunt, a bird went up and the right trigger pulled - then nothing. The bird landed and was gone before the barrel fired. Can't remember if the primer was looked at.
I've been told grease and dirt build up, but as mentioned cleaning and reassembly by a professional does not fix the problem. Was then told shells, but new factory ammo always used and never a problem with the left barrel.
At a loss. Any ideas?
Thanks,
George
