ejector fore iron

Just picked up an ejector fore iron at a gunshop out of a junk box for 2 bucks, serial # 7405 pat'd May 20 1901,I think its a bit rust so not sure on the date/year.No engraving so probably O or field.Any thoughts on age etc.. thanks MY
