Thank you for that info re which trigger. Seems I recall my Dad telling me to always use the rear trigger first so the kick didn't make me jerk back and fire the back trigger. Probably because he believed if the first shot was not good the second was going to be worse. I can't imagine why anyone would cut barrels just an inch or two - maybe to open the choke bore?? The single sight bead is still there on the rib. It's a shame I didn't get to spend more time with this gun but a blessing to be able to pass it on to the grandkids.
