New to me LC Smith

Hello, I just bought an old LC Smith shotgun and I was hoping someone could tell me when it was made, or point me in the right direction to find out. I also don't know if it's a 2-3/4" chamber or short. The gun is a 12 gauge, Ideal grade with 32" barrels, serial number 127162. The underside of the barrels near the receiver have what looks like an H and L. I don't have a choke gauge but I think it may be mod & full. Can anyone tell me when this was made, and how do I find out the accurate chamber length? Just check and see if a 2-3/4" shell chambers with ease? EDIT: I just disassembled the barrels and the serial number I gave is prefaced with a capital "R". So, R127162. Thank you, Cliff
