I believe you are on to something. Wild Fowl guns did not have SSP barrels and could posssable be older stock, if the 8 recorded and the few unrecorded Wild Fowl guns shipped to ROD are unmarked USA-F as mine is and the SSP barrels are Marked USA-F since they would be of more current production would help explain the Markings.
