Thanks for the info! I reached out to family who told me not to shoot it and they clarified that the barrels are demascus and won’t handle standard shells. That I would need to get black powder shells. They were not sure of the year, are you still thinking 1896?

My original plan, when I thought this was inoperable, was to sell it for what I could to purchase a lever action rifle. Now, I can not wait to shoot this beauty.
