Jim there is a story related to the posted pictures and Jay you did guess correctly. It is the 28gauge OO E serial #100 L C Smith (Waddys' gun).
Now the story: I do not own the gun and I have not made an offer for it. I have been asked to assist in promoting the "SALE" of the 28gauge, something many members thought would never take place. The owner of the gun needed help in this endeavor. The sale was to take place in July of this year and then be awarded at the 10th Hunter Arms Homecoming Awards Dinner. It is possible that it can re-enacted next year. The gun did make it back Home as it paid a visit to the Hunter Homestead in Sterling Valley, NY for the taking of the pictures. Please note that the gun is not at that location but held at an undisclosed secure location.
I volunteered to help post information on our web site for her. Pictures of me holding the gun at the Homestead were to spark interest in the gun. It made my day and I felt honored to hold this rare L C Smith.
It is a priority of her that the gun remain in the LCSCA, there-fore she is giving the membership the first opportunity to make offers before a possible listing of it in a gun auction. Please DO NOT call or contact her as this will jeopardize your chance of ownership as you will see in her requests and conditions when the gun gets listed . Look for the post in the Members Only soon. Also note you must be a member in the LCSCA as of June,2020 to make an offer.
Don't let this one "get away"!!! Good Luck to all.
Les
