Thanks Carl. Mathew specializes in vintage sis and came recommended by DJ Rossiter from Custom Stocks and Steel. DJ transitioning to be the restoration smith at Griffin and Howe. I did drive over to meet Matthew and drop off a Fox and let him look at this one. I am into it for just a few hundred dollars. He advises that it is dirty and dinged but the gun shows no signs of every having been shot much at all. No cracks. He took it down and inside was perfect. I am putting probably more in it than it will be worth for some time but the gun feels good and I just like it. I had never heard of Matthew but he came by recommendation of someone who I trust. Hopefully the bbls will be okay. I had planned to shoot BP loads but RST would be a little better on the pocket book sometimes. Thanks again.
