Thank you Drew. He is measuring. It has a stamping of 'O' and I thought it was a '0'. Serial number and book confirms Quality 1 with 30" barrels. I was thrown for a loop because I knew nothing about laminated steel except the horror story around the Civil War era stuff and mishaps. I have found more to read and it seems to be unusual in that it is a half pistol grip. It does worry me that the stamping of 'Laminated Steel' is not visible on the bbls. I am hoping that the steel wool guy did not take down the thickness too much. Matthew is checking thickness. Luckily the stamping would have been in a very thick part of the bbl. Thank you again Sir.
