Will, you had sent me an email in November 2019 asking me about your hammer gun. I don't have the email but your gun was made in 1899. According to my records it is a late gun that is a 6 pin bar action lock with the Type II hammers (these hammers in the catalog were described as being lower and not in the way of sight) . In this same year Hunter Arms changed over to the 3 pin lock with the back action lock and the Type III hammer or "C" style. You don't see many with a name on the bottom of the barrels, most times it was struck off when sizing them. Also this is when Royal Steel barrels first came out.
