This gun is a 10ga with 30" barrels and serial NO.11969.From what I can tell it is 1884 to 1885 manufactured in Syracuse NY by L C Smith. Now for the mystery,it has sculpted breech balls, some engraving on hammers and side plates, rounded ribs on bottom of receiver but they have a crease in the middle of them, the barrel lug has square corners. The barrels are of a high grade of Damascus and are marked XXX on both barrels. No other marks except serial NO. All the parts have same serial NO. The patent stamp on water table is March 20, 83. There is no grade letter stamped any where. So what do you guys think, maybe a unmarked grade D or C?
