Re: 16 GA FW bore dimension ?
Travis, in looking at my records for my 16 gauges, I have two from 1919, one an 0 grade with .643 bores in both barrels and an F grade hammer gun with .650 bores in both barrels.
Who knows why some are smaller, could be from a worn bore reamer.
That is why it is important that bores are measured to determine constriction and that a choke gage is really useless EXCEPT to know that there is some choke and the barrels were not cut.
