Travis, the roller release arm is longer (higher) because the wood is thicker on a beavertail than on a regular for-end. The metal escutcheon is the same.
Also the for-end metal is different in that there is a piece added to the front of the for-end to screw the recoil rod into.


That piece is brazed onto the bottom half. The hole for the for-end screw was filled with weld and had to be moved forward to catch the escutcheon screw.
