No information on replacement barrels, but some experience with replaced hips. I hope your replacement surgery goes well and that you are up and about soon thereafter. Get a good therapist and listen to him/her...and expect to have some aching and pain even a year out (but you'll be walking soon after the surgery if all goes well). Don't use the pain medications if at all possible after the first couple of weeks. Walk, walk, walk...and you'll soon be planning to wear out your new joint!
