I own a very rare LC smith shotgun and am inquiring about how do you know how barrels are cut. I have consulted the forums on the websites and my extra barrel, per the research letter was a 30 in barrel, but is a 26 in. it does have the engraving with the notches as indicated on the forum website. It does appear to have chokes that are tighter than the original barrels. If the barrels were cut, wouldn't the chokes be more open? Could it be that the barrel was cut at the factory? Is there any way of verifying this?
Thank you in advance for your knowledge to this matter.
