I have a real nice field grade, original, LC stock. The problem seems to be the inletting is real close but the vertical face of the stock head and the inletting of the receiver tang do not match. It is as if the tang needs to be bent 1/8" to 3/16" upwards which will allow the stock to rotate up so that the vertical face of the stock head will sit flat against the vertical back of the receiver. I think I would rather destroy a $10.00 receiver than a $100.00 stock.
What will be my down side to carefully doing this?
Since I plan on CCH'ing the receiver I imagine heat would be my friend.
Thanks and please do not judge me yet
Travis
