Interesting stuff Dr Drew. I don't know how you found that bit of history but being a life long resident of York County, Pa it piqued my interest. As a boy I remember this store because the bus would drop us of there on Saturday morning to shop in York City. This was in the 1950-65 era. Sometime after that it was torn down and the restoration of the colonial York County Courthouse was moved there. This is where the 1st Continental Congress met as the British pushed westward at the beginning of the revolution 1775-76.
