: Hello-
: well good, yea, i knew you had been back a
: bit and saw some shots on facebook. not too
: much is happening on the forum, no. i played
: a few 3v3s with ann last week. One of my
: housemates moved to chicago (the one that
: played sc2) so not sure how much that is
: going to cut into being on heart o' the
: swarm.
:
: Ya, i still play dayz. just built the other
: housemate a computer that can play it... we
: are on a few nights a week. the standalone
: should be in alpha pretty soon if you want
: to try it out. it might not be worth paying
: for the mod at this point. hard to say how
: fast the servers will transition or if the
: standalone can even catch up to the modding
: of the mod that the community has been doing
: over the last year.
:
: league seems like Starbattle with less
: freedom of movement. i don't want to sit in
: a hallway for 90 minutes while 3 other
: people sit in 3 different hallways
: relatively nearby. the only way in which
: that game is fun is the social aspect... the
: same way sitting in a room with some friends
: is also fun. its just a room. it offers
: nothing of value other than a platform to
: hangout in... league cobbles together some
: aspects of sc2, some street fighter, some
: wow, and it all adds up to nothing i want
: anything to do with. i am sorry. its massive
: popularity is baffling. Maybe it's perfected
: the art of making the wins feel significant
: and the losses feel irrelevant? Can't say
: i'm not curious but watching it bores me to
: tears (see above).
:
: the dayz mod is in my top two or three games
: ever, often at number one. it's a little
: unfair to count all the community generated
: content as one game but its free so i guess
: it must. atm i'm going with broodwar, dayz
: and the first gran turismo. Glad you're
: back, congrats,z
