yea, fps mmo... kinda neat at times but i joined the purple team as they had the lowest percentage... probly a mistake. never vote for a third party. pretty awesome when you shoot a non-heat guided missile at a plane half a mile away and make contact. constant death/respawn, throw your grenade launch missiles, retreat to get more ammo and/or die to respawn quicker. generally one group goes out and captures a base while the other one gets over-run; rinse and repeat forever. if you don't pay to play or play 12 hours a day you're way behind on tech upgrades and a proud member of the peasant class. the controls are clunky and everything moves in slow motion, particularly the planes. never thought arma ii could feel like a smooth and streamlined fps... but here we are. maybe part of the backstory is that all characters are terribly arthritic, who knows. anyway, day z. better. cheaper. goty. i have watched some dota/lol streams... i am so far removed from any interest in that game. maybe you guys have drastically different tastes on the matter. honestly, day z is about 70% tedium... depending on how you play it. it's about delayed gratification... those unexpected firefights in a random coastal village or the immediate fright of hearing a car engine in the distance. also there are plenty of cheaters, even though the anti-script software has gotten a lot better lately. not sure who i'm trying to convince as lights dead and you can't play atm, but i'd rather play scrabble than lol. |
