Question about pre-orders on Mattel site, and when they charge you

I was thinking of ordering a She-Ra and Peaches Barbie tomorrow, BUT there delivery dates are so far off. I know they used to wait to charge you until your order was ready to ship, but I am thinking I ordered something last year that didn't ship for a few months but was charged for it right away. Is that the new policy? If the She-Ra won't be shipping till April 2026, will I still be charged for her when I place order? Thanks in advance

Yes! Mattel charges right away.

Yes, Mattel charges you for the full price before the doll will ship. Its a Pre-order.

My latest silkstone order was like that.

Thank you both, I got She-Ra not Peaches as greedy Mattel tried to add Member fee for her (msg)

I know they took the membership fee off Peaches after first two days it was offered, but now added it back even tho not showing on main page. As if $60 was not enough for the doll
