Somewhere in Time was filled in Mackinac Island Michigan in the historical hotel.

Other than the apartment and library scenes it was all filmed in MI (msg)

Everything else was filmed on the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan. The same hotel where the movie is set.

took pictures at all the sites. Its our favorite movie. They allowed a car and such to be on the island for the movie where they're usually banned..One of my hobbies is collecting PR photos from the movie. And my dolls of course.

The Friday night dinner's theme is "Somewhere In Time." Since this is when the charity auction (including the OOAK dolls) takes place, a lot of the auction dolls have that feel or were inspired by the movie. One, by Linda Leake-Beard, is her version of Jane Seymour's yellow dress. Stephen McKitrick of OOAKs on Beech created “Sunset on Mackinac” to honor both the film and where the movie itself was filmed

Thomas Soderberg has also done a lovey OOAK Silkstone in lavender that evokes that film as well. I had hoped to bid on it (or be fortunate enough to purchase one of his OOAKs onsite) but sadly I missed out.
