New Doll Alert! "A Tribute to Fashion"

In our new series, Barbie explores couture throughout history, edited with a contemporary view. Inspired by the 18th century, our first doll wears a floral jacquard gown with puff sleeves and balloon skirt stitched high to reveal her petticoat and satin knee-high boots. All eyes lay on her pink papillote curls piled tall and tied with a little black bow. Wearing mesh fingerless gloves, Barbie doll extends her hand to have this dance with collectors and fashion aficionados everywhere.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm excited about this one. She's a throwback (at least in the promo pics) of the old school Barbie glamour.

I'm working from home on Thursday (planned well in advance actually) so I'll be able when she goes on sale at 9 EDT.
