One more thing

I have seen the 2nd issue TNT with the orange hair ribbon when it should have been pink. You know Mattel, they even used the 1st issue box for the 2nd issue, and even the first Marlo Flip. The one I saw NRFB was on Ebay sold several times with a Brunette TNT, one was sold by the daughter of Author Susan Manos. I bought my first Titian TNT from Susan back in the 90's at Grant A Wish here in Michigan. |
Hey Everyone, and I hope everyone is safe! I just realized that the First TNT orange hair ribbons, and the pink ribbons for the 2ND TNT are used on all of the fashions from that era, even on the other Mattel dolls like small sister small talk fashions, Barbie, Francie, and Skipper fashions used the ribbons as tie closures on some outfits. In the past some people mentioned you could use silk embroidery ribbon, but I found it was too soft, and didn't tie right, but I guess you could have used spray starch to stiffen it up? On the ribbon cards printed in Taiwan or Hong Kong for the hair play dolls like Quick Curl, I noticed that there is pink, aqua/blue, white, and a light green ribbons. Stacey's matches the green, and the pink is a little light, but it matches my NRFB Talking Barbie, most of the Mod dolls had a hotter pink color, but some issues have this lighter pink color. I found several ripped up, pretty much full of holes fashions that are from the late 60's to the early 90's have used these ties on there fashions, mostly white & pink, but once in a while you can see the aqua or light blue color also.
