While I didn't get to see this in person, there's a new Ken on the horizon. The in-person sneaks were shown at Kenvention in Chicago today (sniff - still upset that I'm missing it!) and he got quite a bit of positive reception.

Mattel Creations followed that up with an email. If you didn't get it, here's the text:

In celebration of Ken’s 65th anniversary, he’s getting his own custom closet, with a classic lineup of looks for you to mix and match. This one is for everyone who ever wished they had access to Ken doll's iconic closet. Soon, you can take on the role of his stylist, with a new kit that lets you mix and match his clothes, accessories, and even his head!

It sounds very much like a You Create kit for Ken so we'll see. Interestingly, the watch he's wearing is very much like the watch we were going to make in the Ken jewelry making class that I was supposed to teach. It was suggested that I change it to a pocket watch - which I did. Is this the reason why?
