For reasons no one can quite explain, a red-headed version of Fleur De Soir, the 2026 NBDCC convention doll by Suim Noh has been (or will be) gifted to attendees of the long-over Mexico Fashion Doll convention.

This marks the first time that Mattel has given the Mexico attendees a doll.

Why now? No one knows. Was it not ready in time for the Mexico convention? Was it meant to be something else for the NDBCC in Austin? Is this a one-off? Again, there are no real answers.

What I will say is that in 2015, Mattel gave different hair colors of Spotlight on Broadway to the various conventions, including NBDCC and that didn't go over so well.

We already know what the 2027 convention doll will be. it was previewed in Austin and it will be special. I'm hoping this isn't a trend that Mattel is trying to start again.

That said, the redhead would be a nice addition to my collection if I can get one on eBay.
