I meant to post this over the weekend, but my little hometown was nicked by a tornado on Saturday night. An EF-2 tornado passed directly over my dad's house and touched town for two minutes about half a mile south of his house in a lightly populated area. No deaths or injury. Some house damage though none destroyed. Major power outage and trees made into matchsticks in a very short period of time. Our only saving grace is that we are in the mountains and that keeps the tornadoes short and narrow.

So apologies because you buys are probably tired of my convention commentary.

On one hand, it's hard to believe the Austin convention has come and gone. Phoenix is next nationally, but I also have Kenvention in October and GAW next spring. It's been difficult to come back to reality, even though for me, convention wasn't really relaxing. I worked far too much but volunteer work is needed to put on something of this scale.

In the coming days, I'm sure I'll continue to process the trip while I'm preparing everything else, including for my position as Programs Chair for next year.

Until then, here's my "pile o' stuff." Forgive the few non-Barbies visible. There are so many cool things that aren't visible. For instance, the purple bag contains a Franklin Lim Lao made centerpiece from the Pittsburgh convention that will need a lot of restoration. There's a pristine Black Magic fashion in the pile, along with several custom fashions and an NRFB Sugar Plum fashion from Dressmaker Details that I got for a steal. Convention pins, OOAKs and other things will surface as I put them away.









Finally, a huge thank you to Nilsa who came to Austin to shop and to meet me. Nilsa, thank you for your gift. I love it and have great memories associated with it!

I'll be in San Antonio in 2028 for the convention. Hope you can come and visit again!
