I have grown a red chestnut garlic for the last 15 years. I have two raised beds. I use a section of lattice panellaid flat in my garden to plant and grow my garlic bulbs. I always grow three types of tomatoes, peppers, and will alternate each year with radishes, carrots, sweet potatoes, lettuce. I grow chocolate mint in a pot, and I have lavender that comes back every year through out my entire garden. I have bumble bees, butterflies, and praying mantis that visit and live there all summer. I also have a bird bath in there to accommodate the birds. My little slice of heaven. My friend came over to take a picture she wants to submit it to Better Homes and Garden, lol.
Thank you for sharing, I thoroughly enjoyed reading your post and your childhood gardening memories.
Have a lovely weekend.
