I saw the African American Ballerina on Ebay last year and thought, "what is this, did I miss this doll". Then 2 months later it showed up in Mattel's shop, still there around $33. I don't know why Mattel gives the California dealers the dolls so early (or maybe they get from ToyClub) and people feel compelled to pay twice the retail for a doll that hasn't even been officially released yet
