My Dad passed away in September and I am no longer a caregiver after 20+ years of doing so. I am planning on starting to sell things later this year and I was wondering what platform people are using for selling these days. eBay and Etsy are out. I got so tired of the damn fees with all of them, so I was looking at Shopify. The first 3 months are a dollar each and after that it's not that much for a small store like mine.

Any suggestions? The internet has become so much more than ebay and etsy regarding selling platforms.

I have a lot of doll clothes done-just need to make accessories. Now that I can TOTALLY focus on my projects I'm going to try my hand at making shoes too. I got the acrylic bases done. Just need to make the fabric uppers.

I'm also going to be selling most of my dolls there too. I have a TON of silkstones so I'm just going to keep the bald ones and use wigs on them.

The last 3 months of taking care of my Dad before he passed was so HARD. His dementia got worse and he became totally dependent on a wheelchair that I had to push. It just does things to your body-I no longer feel that I am running on adrenaline and some of the aches and pains are going away. He was on hospice since April 2025 so I had a little help. He couldn't use the shower anymore so we did the bed bath thing. I miss him but I don't miss taking care of him. I am NEVER going to be a caregiver again.
