First up is a doll already released at various outlets including Barnes & Noble. Graduation Wishes is actually fairly sleek and an improvement over the ones from the late 1990s.
As part of Mattel Creations Club 59 exclusives, there will be a re-release of the original Barbie & the Rockers series. At this point, as far as I know, the line will include Derek, but not Ken as he was from the second line of dolls with the Dancing Action.
I find it funny Mattel is promoting this as "Rockers Reunion Tour" because that already happened (though not collector-line wide) with the 2010 NBDCC in Cleveland - which was billed specifically as the Barbie & The Rockers Reunion Tour.
This teaser photo was put out earlier in the week but it's clearly showing the older dolls and not any repros. Though it will be interesting to see how they play this. Straight repros or "updates".
Earlier today the Instagram account A Plastic Tan 2 shared this graphic. I think it's likely we'll see a large number of these dolls, but I think that without Bill Greening, Whitney Houston as The Queen of the Night is (sadly) probably unlikely.
Though the idea of a Lenny Kravitz doll is very appealing.
We'll see how many of these make it to production and how many go off to Beckyland, as we know prototypes of most, if not all of these dolls, have been glimpsed in recent years.
This comes to us from the Strange Doll Facebook page. It's a listing of the 2026 global Barbie conventions. However it doesn't include the mini-conventions such as the Swell Event hosted by Bradley Justice Yarborough.
I'll be attending three of them - Grant A Wish (Livonia, MI), NBDCC (Austin, TX), and Kenvention (Chicago, IL). If you're attending any of them, even if just for room shopping or the sales room, please let me know. I know we have a small group going to GAW but I'd love to meet up elsewhere as well!
You can also find a list of smaller "long weekend" events and doll shows here. However, please note that the Italian Doll Convention is canceled and will not continue in the near future after the untimely passing of Mario & Gianni of Magia2000 last year.

Finally, if you're missing Bill Greening like I am, this graphic comes directly from his Facebook page with a list of all the places you can see him this year. There are rumors he might add one or two more events to his schedule this fall. Here's hoping!
