Several years ago when I was a remote member of the Windy City doll club in Chicago, they had a "King and Queen of Mardi Gras" contest.
My Ken in today's header photo along with my Trench Setter in red were the King and Queen of the Dark Ball and my entries into the contest.
Ken won first place and Barbie took second. After the contest, I thought about changing her back into another outfit and continuing to play around with her. However I loved her in that dress so much and had spent so much time on her that I left her as is. She's now with Ken on display in my doll room. Which will hopefully see the light of day one day soon.

No matter how many Silkies I get, I think Trench Setter has to be one of my favorites. She looks good in just about anything.
