The MAD stands can be expensive and they aren't perfect, but they're more stable and less likely to damage fragile vintage or high end doll clothes. I've had some of the Kaiser stands damage fragile fashions.
There's another brand that's similar to MAD and are a bit less expensive but their square base makes them unsteady. If I can find old IT stands, I use those too. Mizi by JHD also has similar ones that also work well.

My doll room is still a work in progress but some of my OOAKs an limited edition designer dolls are out on display.
That includes this lovely creation. An edition of 30, she was created for members of the Houston Doll Society by Magia 2000. She's an extremely treasured part of my collection.
