Earlier today Robin Gee, who is a friend to many in the doll community, especially the convention community, created the stark but elegant graphic you now see at the top of the page. It will remain there for a few days as the doll world (not just the Barbie world) tries to right itself.
She offered it free to everyone who wished to use it to honor Mario and Gianni, particularly as news of their deaths and just how beloved they were has spread, being covered by the likes of the New York Post, the AP, the Hollywood Reporter, People, and other outlets.
Their funerals will be held on Friday at the Basilica of San Gaudenzio in Novara. I have friends who will be attending to make sure the Barbie community will be represented among the many who mourn their loss.
